Security Woodlawn Business Association Announcement

The Security Woodlawn Business Association has been awarded a grant from Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development to facilitate exterior enhancements to commercially zoned properties and we are prepared to commence the undertaking.

We encourage all interested parties to submit applications. If this grant does not match your efforts at enhancing the area we will try to provide you with alternative options.

Exterior enhancements may include painting, stucco repair, masonry work, doors, windows, signage, canopies, lighting, shutters, cleaning, power washing, adding green spaces, and general aesthetic improvements that benefit the larger community.

Additionally, we want to inform potential applicants about a Baltimore County program called “Architect-on-Call”. This program provides up to 10 hours of engineering support, architectural blueprints, design ideas, and cost estimates. The application and information for this program can be found on the Baltimore County Website:

and documents requested. Incomplete applications will be returned. Any items which do
not apply to your project should be marked “N/A”. Applications must be submitted by
midnight January 31, 2026.
